LAKE BLED BOATING AND THE ISLAND CHURCH
One of the most popular things to do in Lake Bled is to hop into one of the traditional Pletna boats. The gondola style rowboats take you to the beautiful island to the stunning baroque church. It will cost you approximately 10-13 euros per person. There are regular departures throughout the day, and it takes about 20 minutes to reach the island. The other option is to rent a rowboat and explore the island and the lake on your own.

OJSTRICA VIEWPOINT
Ojstrica’s viewpoint is a popular viewpoint offering the perfect picture of the Lake Bled, island church, and the Alps in the background. The hike from the bled lakeshore takes around 30-45 min. The path is a well-marked trail in the forest.
BLED CASTLE
Castle Bled is one of the oldest castles in Slovenia. The complex sits on a cliff at the height of 130 m overlooking the Lake Bled. The fort can be reached by car/van or a set of stairs along the lake promenade, which takes around 15 minutes. There you can check out the castle chapel and the castle museum.
TRY THE FAMOUS BLED CAKE
In all of the restaurants and bars, you can find the famous Bled cake called Kremshnita.
TOBOGGANING
For the one looking for some fun and thrill-filled activity, we are recommending you sledding down the mountain slopes. There is a sledding track situated on the Straza Hill above Lake Bled on the hill opposite the Bled Castle. You can either walk up the mountain or ride a chairlift to the top of the hill and toboggan down. For one ride with the chairlift, you will pay 8€ per person.
VINTGAR GORGE
Vintgar Gorge, popularly known as Bled Gorge, is a 1,6 km long gorge. An amazing wonderland carved bl the Radovna river. The walk on the wooden board along the high canyon walls.
Day 3-5
LAKE BOHINJ
The drive from Lake Bled to Lake Bohinj takes around half an hour through quaint villages and forest areas. Lake Bohinj is located in a small city called Ribčev Laz and is the largest permanent lake in Slovenia, situated within the Triglav National Park. There are several walking trails in the forest around the lake. It takes around 1,5 -2 hours to go around.
WATERFALL SAVICA
It will take you around half an hour to go from Lake Bohinj to the parking lot for waterfall Savica. And from there, you need another 20 minutes of hiking to reach waterfall Savica.
VOGAR ALPINE MEADOW
If you like hiking and have hiking shoes with you, Vogar alpine meadow is the place you have to visit. There you can find two viewpoints on the lake Bohinj, and you can visit Vogar mountain hut where you can try some typical Slovenian food. It will take you approximately 1,5 hours of hiking to the top.
